ENON I

There was a time when there was no Universe; then there was a great living creature. He should be called the Creator. He dwelt in some spaces and his mind was great. He had a very long and difficult path to perfection; but the same path lay ahead of him. The Creator knew what was due; thus, he knew what he should do and how long it should take. He knew that he had reached a certain limit on his way; and he knew that he was the obstacle on his way – for he did not know yet what was within him. He knew that if he did not reach the due within, he could not gain the necessary properties without which he could not continue his path. This was the law of his existence and he wanted to follow the law to continue existing. In his existence, the Creator had comprehended much and had made himself capable of much. And he knew what he had to do to attain what was due; and he did so. He had established within himself the laws that were so powerful that they could be implemented without being controlled by the will of the Creator. But this accomplishment was the accomplishment wanted by the Creator because he approved it in himself for the sake of what was right. Having established the law of due accomplishment in himself, the Creator transformed his substance into the substance of the Spirit: thus, the first world of the Universe was born. The due part of the substance of the Spirit was transformed into the substance of energy: thus, the second world of the Universe was born. The due part of the substance of energy was transformed into the substance of matter: thus, the third world of the Universe was born. Thus the Creator transformed Himself into the Universe. Now these three worlds exist, they are separated because each of them has its substance and its properties, and at the same time, they are one and inseparable because the substance of each of them exists within and due to the substances of the others, and their properties are likewise fulfilled. All was accomplished as it was meant to be accomplished; and it was accomplished for the sake of the good. Thus, the Creator changed himself to be changed again in the future and to achieve greater perfection.

ENON II

In the law of the Universe, there are four Great Principles. They are such that they permeate the substance of the three existing worlds and induce the creation of everything that takes place in these worlds. The Great Principles permeate the Universe with themselves, which is the Creator, and in the same way – everything that exists outside of it. And they induce the accomplishment of everything that takes place outside the Creator and everything that takes place within it; thus, the greatest of laws is one for all that exists, for everything is one. What is accomplished within the Creator is done for his sake, and through him for the sake of everything that exists outside of him; and the laws that work only within the Creator have their origin in the Great Principles, by which they are connected to the laws outside of the Creator. Thus, all the laws, which take place anywhere, are the parts of one accomplishment, governed by the Great Principles. The Vital Principle animates all that exists. This is the power by which all the parts of all that exist outside the Creator and within the Creator, and the parts of the parts and the small particles, and all the particles of all the particles, are bound together. If there were no Vital Principle, all that exists would disintegrate, and all the particles would disintegrate into their particles, and there would be no creation for the sake of perfection, but only everlasting destruction. The Good Principle protects the vital force that binds everything together, thus, nothing can destroy it. It directs the existing to preservation and affirmation of what is favorable for accomplishment. If there were no Good Principle, then there would be a force able to turn proper accomplishment into destruction, and then the life force would no longer be able to do its work and there would come eternal destruction. The Progressive Principle drives the existing to perfection. It accomplishes evolution; the accomplishment of evolution confirms the power that gives birth to life and, thereby, makes it stronger. If there were no Progressive Principle, the life-giving force could not grow and would weaken and that would lead existing things to eternal destruction. There is a Rational Principle, which maintains the necessary stages in the course of evolution. It preserves and gives everything reason and the ability to cognize. If there were no Rational Principle, then everything that exists could not evolutionize properly and would cease to evolve because it would be meaningless, leading to eternal destruction. Thus, there is an indissoluble connection between the Great Principles; and they permeate each other; and they are one, – for there is one law of their perfection: they are its manifestations. There cannot be one Great Principle without the others, and the others without one or two. Everything is governed by the Great Principles, so there is nothing that can oppose them as being equal to them in strength or stronger than them.

ENON III

Three worlds permeate each other, they build each other and accomplish each other. The Spirit accomplishes the Great Principles of energy, and through it of matter, so the Universe creates its laws and is created by them. Everything that takes place in one of the worlds takes place in the other worlds. Creation in one world gives rise to creations in the other worlds because the Universe is one and complete. Thus, the smallest act in one of the worlds embraces the entire Universe, for every act is the effect and the cause of another act in time and space. This is how it works – because it has to be like that; this is how it works for the sake of accomplishing the due for the Creator. There is something within the Creator that he has not acknowledged yet; and his mind cognizes his essence, and cognizes itself; and through this cognition, the Creator will cultivate in himself greater perfection. Everyone is a particle of the world in which he lives and by which he exists. It is impossible to act properly without understanding the existing, knowing the best, and understanding the due accomplishment, through which the best is cultivated in the existing. To know all this, a person should know the world and himself because he is also a part of the world. The Creator strives to cognize himself, – because the law is the same for each of his particles separately and for him as a whole of these particles. According to the law which the Creator has established in himself, his mind, while remaining whole in its essence and properties, is spread between a multitude of minds equal to the number of the particles in the Creator. The mind has two essences: therefore, it is one and dual at the same time. On the one hand, it is a passive or preserving mind. It is concerned only with the preservation of the life and well-being of its owner so that the owner does not lose the necessities. On the other hand, it is an active or cognitive mind. It cares for the cognition of the unknown so that its owner would acquire knowledge through which he would reach a higher perfection. These are the two essences of the mind; and they cannot exist without each other. Without the preservation of what already exists, it is impossible to gain more, and without gaining there is no sense in the preservation of the existing. The preserving mind accomplishes its work in every particle of the Creator, for every particle of the Creator contains the Great Principles in itself. Each particle is alive, progressive, and intelligent, striving for the best. The active mind, which has not yet reached the due certain stage of evolution, is concealed in every particle of the Creator as its potential. However, this potential is so effective that its mere presence alone gives meaning to the existence of the particle. And the evolution of this particle takes place. Though it is rather slow, it nevertheless inevitably brings this particle to the stage of evolution when the active mind awakes and starts working more actively. In other words, evolution first brings the particles of the Creator to the stage of development when the cognitive mind can awake and then through its properties leads them to greater perfection, which is the greater good. Such are the two properties of the mind, and such is the law of their development in evolution.

ENON IV

The second world was born from the first and the third from the second. Their substances produced one another; and the substance of matter appeared, which was the final substance. All that is accomplished in all three worlds as they are one; it starts with the first substance, which is Spirit, and proceeds to the last substance, which is matter; or it starts from the third substance and proceeds to the first. The world of matter receives all that flows out of the other worlds and pours the due into. In this world important accomplishment for the Universe takes place: and it can only be accomplished in this world, although only in unity with the other two worlds. This accomplishment can bring the Universe into the new transformation of substances, and bring everything back to Spirit. It can only be achieved via evolution which brings all existing beings to greater perfection which will enable them to transmute their substances. The perfection of the Spirit gives the Creator the required perfect properties, which he needs to rise to a higher stage of development. The properties born by the Greater Principles are rooted in the Spirit, from which they flow into the other worlds and manifest in them through energy and matter. So is the mind: its properties are rooted in Spirit, and through it are transmitted to other substances. Spirit cognizes; and it cognizes itself, – for other substances are also the varieties of Spirit. The Spirit cognizes them and cognizes through them. The matter is the last level of cognition, therefore the cognition of the Spirit starts from this level. In the creatures of the world of matter, the active mind is born which is a property of the Spirit residing in these creatures. Evolution creates matter in such a way that the creatures whose flesh is made up of matter acquire in themselves the attributes of the active mind and become able to cognize. Through them the Spirit cognizes what is possible to cognize in the third world; thus, the Creator cognizes a part of himself. Then those creatures, whose perfection becomes higher than possible in the world of matter, are relieved of the necessity of being born in it. Then they dwell in the world of energy and cognize it together with the other worlds. When they cognize everything accessible to them, their Spirit becomes so perfect that it no longer knows the need for the substance of energy. It becomes more perfect than the Spirit, which has not yet passed the way of cognition; and then it merges with the world of the Spirit, perfecting it with itself. This is how the Creator cognizes himself, acquiring the necessary properties for the new stage of evolution.

ENON V

The Universe is such as it is; and it is such as it must be for the sake of the evolution of the Creator in the best possible way. Everything is such as it is so that cognition could be as it should be. Evolution is defined by cognition, and cognition allows the evolution of the Creator. The law of the due good is in everything, and everything strives to follow it. But there is an unconscious following and a conscious following: the essence of the evolution of the particles of the Creator is in following both. Animals, plants, stones, water, etc., have a preserving mind, in which the cognitive mind seeks to be awakened. Humans and similar creatures are those in whom the cognitive mind has been awakened and is doing its work. A beast or a stone knows the Truth and does its work without knowing it, whereas man also knows the Truth as they know it – but he also has to cognize it with the cognitive mind. What is cognized in this way merges with what is already known to the preserving mind – and through this merging, much more knowledge is given. The knower knows what is, what must be, and how the due is accomplished; and he knows the due is accomplished. The knower can accomplish the due, thereby supporting the Being as such; and thus, he can transform the existing into the best. The Creator knew this; he knew what he had to be and knew how to achieve it. And he has transformed himself into the present state; and he has done it to become more perfect. Everyone who becomes aware becomes more perfect by merging the unconscious accomplishment of the due with the conscious accomplishment of the due. The due properties necessary for the Creator to ascend to a new stage of evolution are achieved via this merging. The Being knows what this level should be as it accomplishes itself, but every particle of the Creator is the Creator, and he will ascend to the said level in the aggregate of all his particles. Thus, all that exists and accomplishes the due, generates the best for the Creator, thus generating the best for itself and other existing things.

ENON VI

Good is the accomplishment of what is due, thus, everything that exists becomes better. Through the accomplishment of good, the power that gives birth to Life grows, and thereby accomplishes the existence of everything. Good is the accomplishment of the due within the Creator, everything that is done for the sake of achieving the best. All that exists is striving to achieve the due: it is striving to accomplish the good. All that binds existing in all its manifestations, making it one, binds it together for the sake of good. Thus the substances of all the worlds are one, and the laws that enforce what happens in these worlds are one. Substances and laws are bound together, manifesting through each other. Without that which flows from the world of the Spirit, there could be no accomplishment in the other worlds; without energy, there could be no accomplishment of the life of matter; without that which gives rise to the evolution in the world of matter, there could be no accomplishment of the evolution of the other worlds. Everything is interconnected, – and therefore what is accomplished in one world is also accomplished in other worlds. From the world of the Spirit comes the accomplishment which continues through the world of matter. The accomplishment that comes from the world of Spirit acquires necessary properties in the world of energy, and that, which is acquired in the world of energy, accomplishes the world of matter. In the world of energy, there are creatures through whom the laws, the implementation of which comes from the world of the Spirit, are manifested. These creatures are called gods and they are those who care about the implementation of the laws in the second and third worlds. Each of the laws is what accomplishes the meaning of the existence and life of one of the gods; gods are the flesh of laws made of energy, through which these laws are manifested. The gods are intelligent beings; but their mind is a preserving mind, – for the laws need nothing but their own making. Each of the gods is only aware of the work he does. The laws create evolution; they ascend to a new stage of evolution of creation only when it becomes necessary for that which they create. Small laws, like the laws of a living body, change so quickly as the body grows quickly; the great laws, like the laws of the mutual connection of the particles of the Universe, change slowly. Thus, these laws work in harmony with evolution and accomplish it; thus, the gods change. In the third world, all laws are manifested through the matter: therefore, every creature and every particle of the matter contains in itself a god. He is the energy that nourishes the matter of a particular physical body, caring for the preservation of its existence. Through him, in this body, the laws work, because he is one with all the other gods. There is a god of mankind: he is made of the gods of individuals; they are made of the gods of those particles of which man is composed; those gods are made of the gods of even smaller particles; and so on. It is true about all things; all the gods are connected: none among them is separate from the others. Every one of the gods knows his work and knows how it is connected with the work of the other gods. The gods are one because they are parts of the Creator, and the work of one of them could not be done without the work of the other gods, and they could not work without him. Thus, the gods work for each other, thus creating the being of the Universe and its evolution. Each of them is created only for its cause and cannot exist without accomplishing it. Therefore, the gods dwell in mutual harmony, and among them, there are no gods, who arbitrarily do unnecessary or bad things. Gods are laws, which the Creator approved in himself for the sake of his welfare: therefore, their essence does not know the tendency to do evil and their passive mind is not capable to learn possibilities of doing it. The Creator does not want bad and the worst for himself, but only good and the best: therefore, gods do only good. Thus, the laws, proceeding from the world of Spirit, accomplish the world of energy, and through it, and by it, the world of matter. Everything is interconnected because it is one; everything accomplishes evolution, which is accomplished by the good, which is itself good and is accomplished for the good. This is how the Creator created himself – because it was necessary.

ENON VII

All things are as they are only when there is something that opposes them. The best cannot come if there is no possibility of the worst in its place. The best is strengthened through the thing that opposes its accomplishment: such is the law for the Creator and his particles. This law is so great that even the Great Principles exist according to it: each of them contains in itself the principle of self-oppression. But the Being does not want its destruction and that is why the power of opposition to the Good is weaker than the power of the Good. It is weaker because it is a part of the Good and because it exists for the sake of maintenance of the Good; the Good opposes a smaller part of itself for the sake of maintenance of its bigger self, so that it does not perish, but could exist and improve. For evolution to take place, a great striving for the best is necessary, which is opposed by a smaller striving for the worst, which by the very meaning of its existence strives for the best, because it exists only so that the best may take place. Thus, it is necessary and in the second world among the gods, there is a god through whom this principle is fulfilled. This god is to be called the Resisting God because he contains in himself the principle of resisting good accomplishment. But this god is essentially good because the true aim of his existence is to do good. That which opposes the accomplishment of the good, thus opposing the evolution for the better, is evil. Evil is a principle, the power of which comes from the violation of harmony in the Being. Only the active mind can break the harmony, because cognition may also bring errors. Delusion is an illusion in which non-existent is imagined as existing; it is an attack on the essence of Truth, violating the harmony of proper knowledge, which is part of the universal harmony. Delusion is evil, because it prevents further cognition of the Truth, thus preventing the proper accomplishment. From the errors arises the wrong accomplishment, which prevents the proper accomplishment, thus causing harm to the proper evolution. Only an improper accomplishment is evil; delusion is also evil. Only the active mind can go astray and the will to do wrong: therefore, only sentient beings can do evil. There are no creatures in the Being apart from the sentient ones who are capable of doing evil, for the passive mind predominates in others. The Resisting God calls upon the active mind of the sentient beings, showing them the possibility of delusion or bad deeds; and they choose for themselves between good or evil. The Resisting God, by showing them the possibility of evil, desires that they choose to do not evil, but good. He desires this because he exists for the sake of good; good is overcoming delusions and the desire for evil. This god is a particle of the Creator; and he strives for the good of the Creator, which is also his good. His accomplishment is in making sentient beings choose between the best and the worst; and when they choose the best and fulfill it, they acquire the qualities that make them more perfect. In this way, the Creator is perfected through sentient beings. The Resisting God is opposing the good, because it is necessary for the accomplishment of the good. But good is accomplished only when sentient beings choose and accomplish good and not evil. Thus, The Resisting God, showing the possibility of evil, wishes that good is accomplished. His existence is accomplished by the same laws that accomplish the evolution of the Creator for the sake of good: therefore, he is like that.

ENON VIII

Each sentient being chooses between doing good or doing evil. Evolution leads them from an unconscious accomplishment to a conscious accomplishment, in which the latter gives the choice between the best and the worst. A sentient being is a part of the Creator; therefore, he has the aspiration to do good for the Creator. This striving, however, is only clearly visible to the preserving mind, which accomplishes itself in harmony with this striving; the cognizing mind only clearly sees it when it recognizes it. For the accomplishment of the worst, the Resisting God calls out to the cognizing mind, and for the accomplishment of the best, the preserving mind and all that exists calls out to the cognizing mind. And cognizing mind seeks to know the essence of both calls to follow one of them. The yearning for the good of the Creator is so strong in the cognizing mind that he chooses to do the best as he should. In the beginning, it can also choose the other, and this often happens; but it happens only because the cognizing mind does not immediately attain the knowledge. Cognition is a process proceeding from the less perfect to the more perfect; thus, the more is known, the easier it is to cognize and understand without falling into delusion. Knowledge replaces ignorance and delusion. Therefore, the one who goes astray and therefore does evil will change and will do good when his mind realizes enough to become more perfect. This is inevitable – because evolution is taking place and the striving for the good in the Creator is all-conquering. Sentient beings cognize living in bodies of matter in the third world, and without them – in the second world. Thus, their mind evolves and becomes more perfect; and one day they realize the necessity of good accomplishment, and choose it. When a sentient being chooses the good, he also obtains the power by which it is accomplished; and he accomplishes it; and then the good is more firmly established in the Creator. Through the cognition of the due and its accomplishment the necessary quality is achieved, without which the Creator cannot ascend to a higher stage of evolution. This is how the Creator cognizes himself, this cognition makes evolution possible. This is the reason why the Creator changed himself into our Universe.

ENON IX

Of the three substances of the Universe, Spirit is the most perfect. But evolution is infinite; therefore, the Spirit also strives for greater perfection. It is perfected through cognition, consciousness, and due accomplishment; in this way, it acquires the properties which make it better. Spirit is one, and it permeates everything. A particle of it dwells in every particle of energy and with it, in every particle of matter. A sentient being cognizes via his mind, the properties of which emanate from the Spirit; when a sentient being cognizes something, through his will, he does what is right. Thus, the matter and energy of his body do what is right, and the Spirit acquires what is necessary. Thus, his Spirit becomes more perfect; and the more perfect he becomes, the easier it is for him to attain still greater perfection. Abiding in the particles of the third world, the Spirit is spread among these particles; but at the same time, it is one. Therefore, one particle of the Spirit, having acquired the necessary property, communicates it to the other particles. It is like a doubling of the strength of this quality: it gives the other particles as much as it gains. This gift is spread among other particles of the spirit, thus making them more perfect. It happens whenever a sentient being realizes and accomplishes something right and therefore – good. When a sentient being accomplishes something good, the whole of the Spirit contained in the Universe is perfected, and so is the Spirit contained in other sentient beings. In this way, they obtain the necessary and they obtain power that accomplishes good. If one particle of the Universe becomes more perfect, the whole Universe becomes more perfect: such is the property of unity. When a sentient being reaches a certain stage of evolution, he no longer needs a body of matter, but only a substance of energy. And when his spirit becomes even more perfect, he will no longer need a body of energy. Then his spirit also loses the flesh of energy, and his essence merges with all the particles of the world of the spirit and gives them its properties. The personality of this perceiver, contained in the Spirit, merges with the personalities of the others as if giving themselves to them and taking their personalities into themselves. This degree of perfection is the highest possible in the Creator. Thus, the perfection of one sentient being perfects the whole Universe. The desire for good and the power of good grows, and so the necessary evolution of the Creator is accomplished, accomplished by him and in him.

ENON X

Spirit becomes more perfect through cognition: thus, the Creator becomes more perfect. Evolution brings forth in the third world creatures capable of cognition and is further accomplished through them. Thus, matter acquires new properties, following evolution. The time will come when all matter will have undergone the proper path of evolution and will obtain the properties that it must obtain. Then there will be no more food for knowledge in the third world and its work will be completed and the evolution completed. Then all matter will again become energy, and the Universe will consist of two worlds instead of three. Then the second world will also reach the greatest possible extent in its evolution and this evolution will be completed. In it there will be no more food for knowledge and its work will be completed. Then the energy will be transformed back into Spirit. When this is accomplished, then Spirit will acquire the qualities for the acquisition of which the Creator has changed himself by becoming the Universe. The substance of the Spirit will then change into a new substance and the Creator will get a state somewhat similar to that in which he had existed before he transfigured himself into the Universe. He will be different as he cognizes himself and thus obtains the necessary properties. He will be more perfect than he has been before and he will be able to bring about what is necessary for the success of his further evolution. This is how it will be, for evolution cannot be reversed or interrupted. But the environment, in which the Creator lives, exists by his laws, which have their proper time limits. There are natural terms for each of the stages of evolution of the Creator, and these terms are in harmony with terms of another accomplishment of that, a part of which is the Creator. There is a proper time limit for this accomplishment of the Creator, which is taking place now. If this process exceeds its deadline and thus breaks the harmony of creation within the Creator, it will not be able to evolve further. Then at the moment of the completion of his inner evolution, the Creator will not acquire a new essence that is more perfect than the previous one, but he will also lose his previous essence. Then he will disintegrate into particles which will later become particles of other creatures who complete their evolution in that world. Now the Creator is bringing his particles to perfect himself, he does not want his disintegration but strives to become more perfect and then to perfect himself further. This is what is happening; and it is as it is because the great laws are bringing things into being as they should be brought into being.
