A cosmic race

I believe, friends, rocket caravans will
rush us forward from star to star.
On the dusty paths of distant planets
Our tracks will remain.

V. Voinovich

They say: “If God had meant us to fly he’d have given us wings”. This proverb is often applied to a person. This was once said, usually with irony, about those who dreamed of flying in the air, invented wings and various aircraft. Later we could see this in real life: the same words were pronounced, now sadly, over the grave of the fallen inventors. But the day came when the creation of the Montgolfier brothers rose into the air. It was proven that a person can fly. Skeptics had to take a more moderate position. later they argued that it was impossible to build an operational aircraft heavier than air. But very soon the day came when the creation of the Wright brothers took off. And the person immediately began to mark even higher, now dreaming of going beyond the atmosphere. Of course, skeptics argued that it was impossible to build an apparatus that could overcome the Earth’s gravity. But the day has come …

Man’s desire for heaven smoothly turned into a desire for stars. True, now skeptics declare this impossible too. And true: such an urge may seem overly ambitious. Man and stars … What can connect them? Is there, in general, an answer to this question? There is: destiny connects them. The purpose of man.

It can be difficult to believe that a person who has arisen on Earth, has lived on Earth for thousands of years and is literally flesh from its flesh is intended to go to the stars. But it’s also hard to believe that a sprawling fruit tree that is capable of feeding people grows from a tiny seed. But it grows. Because this growth and future fruiting are inherent in it initially. So in man lies his future, though he may not know about it. However, it takes its course, manifesting itself first through a craving for flight and then through a striving beyond the Earth. It is like a program striving to be realized. We may not be aware of this, but our subconscious mind knows this, and aspiration is manifested at the level of instinct. An instinct that would seem to contradict the obvious – “If God had meant us to fly he’d have given us wings”. What does the lack of wings mean? But then a person should be incapable of making a fire too, because in his body there are no glands producing fire. So the lack of such glands and wings is compensated by the presence of mind. It is he who makes it possible to realize the potential inherent in man.

If we continue the analogy with the grain, then our planet is the soil from which humanity should sprout. Sprout – and spread your shoots on other planets. The earth is too small for humanity to realize its full potential while remaining within its boundaries. The potential of cognition, the potential of creation, the evolutionary potential of the Spirit, which it carries in itself. We can say that the Earth is the cradle from which humanity will grow one day. Yes, actually, it has started already.

Although the present space exploration is still far away. So far, the human race is taking only the first steps in this direction. It is the human race, not white, black or any other. Soon there will be no separation of races, and the use of the term “race” in the application to skin color will become an anachronism. On a cosmic scale, we should talk about races as intelligent species. It is important that the very concept of interracial contacts will take on a new meaning: these will be contacts between intelligent species, and not between nations and races within the same species. This means that the merging of human nations into one nation will become a natural stage on the way to space. And the merger should be not only ethnic, but also political, that is, the merger of the current states into a single state. Because large-scale space exploration in the context of ongoing political separation will inevitably take the form of jealous rivalry with the struggle for space, resources, the spheres of influence of political regimes, and will turn into a formidable shock at arms to each other. So it was in the days of the ancient tribes, so it was in the days of the ancient cities, during the kingdoms and empires, and this continues now. If all these millennia-old frictions are pulled out into space, (mind the greed and quarrelsomeness of politicians and the level of military technology of the time), how much time will pass before a conflict breaks out in which our planet burns like a match? It can happen now. And then, when the powers begin to wave large cosmic batons, this can hardly be avoided. Therefore, we can say with confidence that the path to the stars lies through unity. While we can’t get along on our little island, we have nothing to do in the open sea and on other continents.

What is the point of going out into space, if not in sharing it, fighting for it and exploiting it predatory? We are led there by evolution; what is the point from an evolutionary point of view? He is, above all, in knowledge. The human mind has much greater potential than it might seem. It is able to cover more, penetrate deeper and work better than the conditions of one planet allow. We ourselves do not yet imagine the global nature of our thinking. Entering the Universe will allow this potential to be revealed and realized. Big ship – a great sailing. It makes no sense to build a frigate in order to later rot it in a pond. Nature endowed man with powerful thinking and sensitive perception, knowing that they will have somewhere to turn around.

Well, cognition is a prerequisite for moral improvement, the development of creative abilities, and the achievement of ever greater mastery in creation. Research, the development of new planets, the solution of new and new large-scale problems, the solution of problems that are now impossible to even imagine, the establishment of communication and cooperation with other rational races, a new look at ourselves, a creative rethinking of our perception of the world, the creation of new cultural values, the creation of cosmic scale – all this will provide a new fertile ground for spiritual development. Over time, humanity will become another universal source from which a powerful stream of particles of the Spirit will flow into the world of the Spirit, which have become cleaner and more perfect. And the Creator will become one big step closer to his transformation.

It is why all the intelligent races of the universe are born. It is why we once appeared on the planet Earth. Our planet knew that it had become a cradle for a cosmic race, one day would fly to the stars. And it is raising us, its children, for this reason. And we are only now beginning to understand it. This means that humanity is ripening in order to realize its purpose. The purpose of the space race. The most important and interesting things are yet to come.
